One of the easiest ways to save some money on your shopping is to get a membership or loyalty card. As of 2021, 77% of the population are members of a loyalty programme. It can be tricky to navigate how much you will save, or which loyalty programmes are the best. We have compiled a list of the best supermarket club cards so all you need to do is get them to start saving you money!

We believe that the Tesco Clubcard is one of the best club cards you can have in your wallet. By having this club card, you will be able to buy the same products you usually do but at much cheaper prices! You can collect points and convert them into vouchers to spend on participating retailers and restaurants such as Disney Plus, Pizza Express, Cineworld and so many more!

You can collect points from an array of in-store and online purchases to spend at participating stores such as Sainsbury’s, Argos, eBay and so many more. 500 points are the equivalent of £2.50.

The M&S rewards programme is called Sparks. By obtaining a free Sparks card you will gain access to personalised offers, plus a donation to your chosen Sparks charity every time you shop. Furthermore, every month you have a chance to win your shopping for free. If you like a freebie, selected accounts are often credited with the latest free goodies. In the past members have claimed free packs of Percy pigs, mince pies, reusable shopping bags and much more.

Co-Op members can take full advantage of exclusive member prices and weekly offers. When members buy selected Co-op products and services, 2p for every £1 spent goes into their Co-op Membership account. And you’ll be given the same amount to support community organisations and local causes. All you have to do is pay £1 to become a member. Plus students can enjoy 10% off their shop in-store at Co-op using their TOTUM or Young Scot card.

The Boots Advantage card allows users to collect 4 points for every £1 you spend, which you can then redeem on the products you love most. You will also receive personalised offers through the Boots app, and free home delivery when you spend above £25. Students can claim an additional 10% off their shopping trips when they head in-store and provide your student ID at the checkout so a member of staff can enable this offer on your advantage card.
You can now also sign up for the advantage plus card for a £20 yearly fee, which gives you even more rewards and perks including 10% off virtually everything you buy for a whole year when using your card. By signing up for Superdrug’s Health & Beauty card members will be able to enjoy exclusive member discounts on a different brand, product category or points offer every Thursday. You can use your points as part payment every time you shop in-store or online. This means that you don’t have to wait too long before you start seeing the savings. If you are a student, you will be able to get an additional 10% discount by showing your student ID at which point they will link your student discount to your card for you to use in the future. Plus for every new registration, Superdrug will donate £1 to Marie Curie Hospice.

TKMaxx has its own loyalty programme called the Treasure Club You can sign up online but you will need to collect your physical card in store before registering it online. You can collect keys with every online and in-store shopping trip in addition to referring your friends. Once you have collected 5 keys, you can select a complimentary gift of your choosing.
